We repair most everyday devices, including phones, tablets, iPads, Laptops & MacBooks, desktop computers, smartwatches and game consoles. If you’re not sure about your model, contact us or bring it in and we’ll let you know if it’s something we can work on.
Phone Studio is located at 2 Glenabbey Dr, Unit 5, Courtice, ON L1E 1B9. We’re in a local plaza with free parking right in front of the shop, so it’s easy to drop off and pick up your device.
You don’t need an appointment—walk-ins are welcome. For less common models or parts, calling ahead or sending a quote request helps us confirm stock and give you a more accurate time estimate.
Many common phone repairs (especially iPhone and Samsung screen or battery replacements) are done in about 20–60 minutes, depending on parts and how busy we are. Tablets, laptops, computers and game consoles often take longer because they need more testing. We’ll always give you a time estimate when you check in the device.
We do both. Phone Studio repairs devices, buys phones you no longer need, and sells tested, pre-owned phones. If a repair isn’t worth the cost, we can often help with trade-in or replacement options instead of pushing a repair.
Pricing depends on the device model and the type of damage (screen, back glass, battery, charging port, etc.). Once you tell us what device you have and what’s wrong, we’ll give you a cl
Yes. Most repairs at Phone Studio come with a 90-day parts & labour warranty. If you notice a problem related to the repair within that time, bring the device back and we’ll check it for you.
It depends on the device and what’s available. We use high-quality OEM or premium aftermarket parts that we trust and have tested. For some models we can offer different part options and explain the pros and cons of each.
If you have a written quote from another local repair shop in Courtice, Oshawa or Bowmanville, show it to us. We’ll do our best to offer competitive pricing while still using quality parts and including a proper warranty. We won’t cut corners just to be the cheapest.

For many quick phone repairs, you’re welcome to wait in or near the store while we work. For longer jobs (tablets, laptops, computers, consoles or heavy damage), it’s usually easier to leave the device and come back when it’s ready. We’ll let you know what’s realistic for your repair.
We accept cash, debit and major credit cards for repairs and device purchases. If you have questions about payment options, just ask before we start the repair.
For most screen, battery and charging port repairs, your data normally stays intact. However, no repair shop can guarantee data 100%, especially on devices with severe damage or liquid exposure. When possible, we recommend backing up important photos and files before any repair.
No. We don’t go through your personal content like photos, chats or social media. We only access what’s needed to test your device and confirm the repair. Your privacy matters, and we treat every device as if it were our own.
Turn it off immediately, don’t charge it and don’t try to dry it in rice or with a hair dryer. Bring it to Phone Studio as soon as you can. The more a wet device is used or charged, the higher the chance of permanent internal damage. We’ll open it, check for liquid inside and see if repair or data recovery makes sense.
In some cases, yes. It depends on what failed—screen, battery, charging, storage or the main board. We can often help when the device doesn’t turn on but the storage is still healthy. We’ll inspect it first and give you an honest idea of your chances and costs.
Sometimes a single repair—like a new screen or battery—can give an older device a couple more years of life. Other times, the repair cost is too close to the value of a newer device. We’ll explain both options so you can decide whether to repair it or put that money toward an upgrade.
If a stable repair isn’t possible or doesn’t make financial sense, we’ll tell you clearly. In many cases there is no charge beyond any agreed diagnostic fee, and we’ll still try to help with options like data-focused solutions (where possible), trade-in ideas or advice on replacement—without pressure.
