Screen and battery jobs are usually one to two business days; board-level work runs a little longer, and we text you updates so you're not refreshing your email. If a laptop won't boot, we can often still recover your files. Customers come to the same Courtice bench from Oshawa, Bowmanville and Whitby and across Durham Region, no second location, no mail-out.

We do board-level diagnostics and micro-soldering in-house on the Courtice bench, and on board-level work, liquid-damage cleaning and data recovery the diagnosis is no-fix / no-fee. (Routine screen, battery, keyboard and port jobs are quoted and billed the usual way.)

Yes, we replace MacBook Air and Pro screens (Retina, M1, M2, M3). Replacement is a full top-case swap on newer Macs because Apple doesn't sell the panel separately; we use original-quality parts.
That's macOS telling you the battery has worn past 80% of its original capacity. We can replace the battery in 1–2 days. Comes with a 90-day warranty.
Not necessarily. Power it OFF immediately, do not plug it in, and bring it in as soon as possible. We open it, ultrasonic-clean the board, and assess. We don't quote a repair until we know what survived.
Often yes. We can pull files from most non-encrypted drives even if the laptop won't boot. Our dedicated data recovery and backup service covers Macs and Windows laptops alike. Ask us in store and we'll tell you what's realistically recoverable before any work.

We can often inspect and clean liquid-damaged devices and look for shorted components or corrosion. Liquid damage is never guaranteed and sometimes parts or the entire board must be replaced. We tell you what we find and what your realistic options are.
In many cases, yes. Upgrading from a hard drive to an SSD, increasing RAM (where possible), cleaning out dust, and checking for software issues can make a big difference in performance.
Yes. We work on many Windows laptops as well as Apple MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro models. For very old or very new models, we'll let you know what support and parts are realistically available.
Yes, on many laptops we can upgrade storage to faster SSDs and, where supported, increase RAM. On some newer ultra-thin devices and MacBooks certain parts may be soldered, and we'll explain what is or isn't upgradable on your model.
Often this points to a weak battery, charging-circuit issue, or power-management problem. We can test the battery, charger, DC jack, and mainboard to see what's causing it and let you know the best option.
That points away from the battery and toward the power circuitry or motherboard, since the laptop is clearly getting power. We test the charging circuit, DC jack and mainboard to find where the power stops, and come back with a written quote before any work.
Overheating can trip a safety shutdown or, over repeated cycles, damage the board itself. We check the fans, vents and thermal paste first since that's the simplest thing to rule out, then test the battery and motherboard if it still won't power on. Free diagnosis before any quote.
If, after diagnosis, the repair is not possible or not economical, we explain why and go over your options. In many cases we can still help with data-focused solutions or give advice on replacement and trade-in options without pushing you into something you don't need.
