I recently had my MacBook screen repaired by a local service in Courtice, and I am genuinely impressed with the entire experience. My laptop screen was badly damaged, showing vertical lines and distortion, and I was worried it would take days or even weeks to fix. Instead, they offered a pick up and drop off service, which made everything incredibly convenient. I did not have to leave home or rearrange my schedule. Even better, the repair was done the same day. They kept me updated during the process and returned the MacBook looking flawless, with the screen working just like new. You would never know it had been damaged. The level of professionalism, turnaround time, and overall service quality exceeded my expectations. If anyone in Courtice needs MacBook screen repair without the hassle of long wait times or traveling, I definitely recommend this service. Fast, reliable, and extremely convenient.

Diagnosis on every device
Common repairs
What we fix on a typical day.
- No-fix · no-fee
No-power / dead board diagnosis
Phone, tablet or laptop won't respond at all. We trace the fault at component level and tell you exactly what failed before touching anything.
- Diagnostics first
Boot loop fix
Device powers on but restarts in a loop and never reaches the home screen: often a failed power IC, storage chip or corrupt boot partition at board level.
- Diagnostics first
Charging IC / Tristar repair
Good port, good cable, good battery. But it still won't charge. The charging IC or Tristar / Hydra chip controls power negotiation and is one of the most common board-level faults.
- Diagnostics first
Backlight IC repair
Display backlight gone: often felt as a very dim image in bright sunlight even though the device is on. A burned backlight filter or coil is a precise soldering job under the microscope.
- Diagnostics first
No-image / display IC
Screen turns on, backlight works, but no image: the display IC or its surrounding circuit on the board needs re-balling or replacement.
- No-fix · no-fee
Water-damaged board (corrosion clean)
Liquid got inside and corroded the logic board. We ultrasonic-clean, inspect under magnification, and rework any lifted pads or shorted components.
- Diagnostics first
Short-circuit diagnosis
Device trips the charger or gets hot in one spot. We thermal-image the board to locate the shorted component and isolate it without damaging surrounding circuits.
- No-fix · no-fee
Data recovery from a dead board
Phone or laptop won't boot but the storage is intact. We revive the board just long enough to pull your photos and files off, then hand everything back.
- Diagnostics first
Console HDMI port / power IC
PS5 or Xbox with no HDMI signal or power fault: the HDMI port retimer and power delivery ICs on the APU board are common micro-soldering targets.
- Diagnostics first
MacBook logic-board repair
MacBook that won't boot, shows no backlight, or trips the MagSafe charger. Board-level repair often costs a fraction of a board swap and keeps your data intact.

Board-level repair means we work directly on the logic board (the main circuit board inside your device) rather than swapping the whole board or the whole phone. Micro-soldering uses a stereo microscope and precision soldering iron to replace individual chips, capacitors, resistors and pads: components measured in fractions of a millimetre. It is the only way to fix many faults without replacing the entire board, and it keeps your data intact.
Board-level faults are diagnosed first: we inspect the board under magnification, run voltage and continuity checks, and tell you what failed before we commit to any soldering work. If we attempt the repair and cannot restore the device, you do not pay for the attempt. The only exception is consumable materials used during an invasive chip transplant, which we always quote and get your go-ahead for in advance.
Diagnostics alone take 1–2 business days. Once we know the fault and you approve the repair, most board-level jobs are completed within 3–5 business days, though complex faults (e.g. BGA re-balling or multi-component water-damage restoration) can run longer. We send you a status update at each stage (diagnosis complete, repair approved, board back, tested) so you are never left wondering.
Often yes. If the storage chip is intact and the board fault is revivable, we can bring the device back to life long enough to pull your photos, contacts and files. We deliver the data on a USB drive or to your cloud and then return the device. No-fix / no-fee applies to the board-level recovery attempt.
Yes. PS5 and Xbox board-level work (HDMI retimer, power-delivery ICs) and MacBook logic-board repair (no-power, backlight, MagSafe faults) are both on the bench here. The same micro-soldering skill set applies across devices, and we use the same diagnostics-first approach: quote before any work, no-fix / no-fee on the board-level attempt.
90-day warranty, parts and labour. It covers the component we replaced and our workmanship on a successful repair; it does not cover new physical damage, liquid exposure, or a different component failing after the repair.
