The bench also sees OnePlus, Motorola, Nokia, Sony, LG, Huawei, TCL and Oppo phones. Cracked or shattered glass and ghost touch (the screen tapping by itself) are the most common jobs, alongside batteries dying by afternoon or swelling under the screen, charging ports clogged with lint, blurry or cracked cameras, muffled speakers and mics, stuck power or volume buttons, and Face ID or Touch ID sensors that stop responding. Boot loops and no-signal faults often trace back to the logic board. Bring the phone itself; you can keep your SIM card and case on it.

The bench also sees Lenovo Tab and Amazon Fire tablets. We see cracked glass and digitizers (the touch layer) most often, then LCD or OLED panels gone black or discoloured, batteries that drain fast or swell enough to push the screen up, charging ports that won't grip a Lightning, USB-C or magnetic dock cable, and stuck power or home buttons. A tablet that won't turn on or charge at all is often a charging IC (charging chip) or logic-board fault. Bring the tablet in; diagnosis is free before any work starts.

The bench also sees ASUS, Acer, MSI, Razer and Toshiba machines. Cracked or flickering screens, batteries that won't hold a charge or trigger a Service Battery warning on a Mac, sticky or dead keyboard keys, cracked hinges and wobbly charging ports are the regular jobs, alongside coffee or water spills and no-power logic-board faults on MacBooks and Dell laptops alike. If you've spilled something, power the laptop off immediately, don't plug it back in, and bring it in as soon as you can so we can assess what survived.

We work on Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS, Acer, Intel NUC, Apple iMac and Mac mini machines, plus custom-built gaming PCs. Common faults are machines that won't POST (won't power on and pass its startup check) or boot, blue screens, dead power supplies, loud fans and overheating from dust and old thermal paste, virus and ransomware infections, and drives that won't mount or show a no-boot-device error. We also fit SSD, RAM and GPU upgrades. For most desktop issues, just bring the tower; if the fault involves your monitor, keyboard or cables, bring those too, and a self-built PC that won't POST should come in with any spare parts.

The bench also sees Google Pixel Watch and Withings. Cracked outer glass over a still-working display is the classic job, along with dead or lined OLED panels, batteries that give out by mid-afternoon or swell enough to pop the screen, stuck digital crowns and side buttons, and watches that won't charge on their puck or pair with a phone. Every glass and screen job is re-sealed with new adhesive. Unpair your watch from your phone before you bring it in.

PlayStation 5 and 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, including OLED and Lite, all come through the shop. HDMI ports with no signal to the TV, disc drives that grind or won't read, loud fans and mid-game shutdowns from dust and heat, Joy-Con and controller stick drift, blinking power-supply lights, and cracked or dead Switch screens are the regular jobs. On Joy-Con drift we replace the stick module rather than just cleaning it. For most repairs the console alone is enough, but bring the controller and power cable too for HDMI or power faults.

We recover data from iPhone, Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel phones, MacBooks and Windows laptops, hard drives, SSDs, SD cards, USB sticks and NAS drives. Typical jobs: a phone with a smashed screen or a dead motherboard, a hard drive that clicks or won't mount, and a card or USB stick throwing a needs-to-be-formatted error. We can't bypass an iPhone's passcode or Face ID lock, so bring the passcode with the phone. Diagnosis is free, and if we try and can't recover anything, you don't pay: no-fix · no-fee.

We unlock phones locked to Bell, Rogers, Telus, Freedom, Fido, Koodo, Virgin Plus, Public Mobile, Chatr and US carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, provided you legally own the device. Common visits are new-phone data transfers, including the fiddly iPhone-to-Android switch, Apple ID and Google account help, email setup, and a sit-down walkthrough after a new purchase. iCloud Activation Lock can only be cleared by the account owner or Apple; we won't attempt to bypass it. Bring both phones, your chargers, and any passwords or account emails you have, and we'll walk you through the whole transfer in the shop.
