Most shops swap parts. When the fault is on the logic board, a blown charging IC, a damaged trace, a chip lifted by water, that is where the device gets written off, or mailed to a stranger. We do micro-soldering and chip-level work in-house, on the same Courtice bench, by the same hands that diagnosed it.
