Why timing matters

Liquid damage is a race against corrosion. The moment water, coffee or juice gets inside a phone, tablet, iPad, MacBook or laptop, it starts to eat the contacts and traces on the logic board, and it keeps going while the device sits. So don't wait, and don't try to charge it. Power it off and bring it in. The sooner we open it, the more of the board we can save.
Most water-damaged devices need more than a part swap. We pull the logic board, bathe it in solvent and ultrasonically clean it to lift corrosion and residue, then inspect every component under magnification and rework any lifted pad or shorted chip before we put it back together. Once the board is sound, we replace whatever the water actually killed: a swollen battery, a foggy screen, a corroded charging port. If files matter more than the device itself, we can usually recover photos and contacts even when it won't power on.
Every device gets a free assessment first: we open it, photograph the damage and give you a plain go / no-go before any labour is billed. If we can't recover it, you don't pay for the diagnostic. That's our no-fix / no-fee policy. It's all done in-house at our Courtice store at 2 Glenabbey Dr, Unit 5, with customers coming in from Oshawa, Bowmanville, Whitby and Clarington. Nothing gets mailed to a depot you never meet.

Yes, both MacBook Air/Pro and Windows laptops (Lenovo, HP, Dell, ASUS, Acer). Sugary liquids are worse than plain water but most are recoverable if you bring it in fast.
No-fix / no-fee, if we can't get it working, you don't pay for the diagnostic. Data recovery (if successful) is quoted separately and only billed on successful recovery.
