How it works

From walk-in to offer in one visit.

The bench process is the same for every device, phone, tablet, laptop, or console. No appointment, no obligation.

  1. Step 1: Bring the old device

Phone, tablet, MacBook, Apple Watch, or working console, walk in with what you want to trade.

  2. Step 2: Free assessment

Same on-the-spot bench check as a straight sale.

  3. Step 3: Pick the upgrade

Apply the trade value toward another phone, a refurbished unit, or accessories.

  4. Step 4: Walk out with the new device

Trade credit balances the offer. Walk away if the math does not work, no obligation.

What a trade looks like

Common trade paths.

Trade credit balances the new purchase, pay the difference in cash or card, or apply credit toward a repair or accessories instead. The technician walks through the numbers in-store.

  • Older working phoneRefurbished newer phone

Trade credit reduces the price of the refurbished unit. Pay the difference in cash or card.

  • Lightly-used phoneDifferent brand or model

Trade credit applies to any in-stock device, phone, tablet, or laptop.

  • Working phone you no longer useAccessories or repairs

Trade credit can offset a repair invoice or accessory purchase instead of a new device.

Condition grades

How we grade what comes across the bench.

Practical grading so expectations are clear before the offer. Every device gets a fresh assessment on the bench.

Like New
Minimal signs of use. Fully functional. Excellent cosmetic shape, looks unused.
Excellent
Light wear. Fully functional. No major cosmetic damage that affects daily use.
Good
Visible wear from regular use. Core functionality intact. Reliable as a daily driver.
Fair
Noticeable cosmetic wear, or minor functional quirks that do not stop the device working.
Damaged
Cracked screen, port faults, battery degradation, or board issues. Often still carries parts value.
Before you walk in

Bring this with you.

None of this is required, but it makes the bench faster and the offer stronger when you have it.

  • Photo ID

Required for the trade-in side of the transaction

  • Backup your data

Anything you want to keep should already be backed up before you walk in

  • Factory reset (optional)

Saves a step at the counter, we can also guide you through it in-store

  • Unlock status note

If the trade-in is carrier-locked or you do not have the passcode, mention it up front

  • Realistic expectations

Locked, broken, and water-damaged devices carry parts value but less trade credit

Honest about value

Locked, broken, or water-damaged?

Still bring it in, but here's what the offer will reflect, so the number is not a surprise at the counter.

  • iCloud-locked iPhone

Cannot be reactivated for normal use. Still accepted for parts value, but the cash offer drops significantly compared to an unlocked unit.

  • Samsung FRP-locked phone

Factory Reset Protection blocks normal reactivation. Same parts-value treatment as iCloud-locked iPhones, accepted, but at reduced value.

  • Water-damaged or won't power on

Boards, displays, and cameras often still carry parts value even if the device is dead. Bring it in, we will tell you what it's worth as parts before you decide.
